Where to eat in Visalia: JoJo’s Grill-A-Dog, Crumbl Cookies

There are several new Visalia restaurants guaranteed to satisfy whatever cravings you’re looking to satisfy, whether it’s sweet, savory or a new brunch.

Here are some of the businesses in the city that have recently celebrated grand openings:

Crumbled cookies

Crumbl Cookies is a bakery that offers its customers the sweetest of treats – daily fresh cookies – perfectly packaged in a pink box.

The bakery offers a rotating menu of cookies; however, their signature milk chocolate chip cookies are still on sale. On the menu this week, milk frosting with Fruity Pebbles, French toast, glazed oatmeal, almost all the bagel and the classic pink sugar cookies.

If you plan to visit the new Visalia store at 3839 S. Mooney Blvd., be prepared for a wait as long lines have persisted since the store officially opened. The store offers delivery and collection in store.

Crumbl Cookies is open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and the store is closed on Sunday.

Mountain Mikes Pizza

South Mooney Boulevard is the new home of Visalia’s third Mountain Mike’s Pizza. The restaurant offers its customers handmade “mountain-sized” pizzas made with fresh ingredients, including its signature pepperoni.

The new 4,100 square foot spot features 10 big-screen TVs and an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet, a private party room for up to 55 people, and an arcade.

The location is owned and operated by Visalia residents Harry Singh and Inderjeet Kaur Dhillon. The husband and wife duo also own the other Mountain Mike’s Pizza restaurants in town.

Mountain Mike’s Pizza offers dine-in, take-out, and delivery options; however, pizzas can also be ordered using third-party delivery partners. The new location at 3103 S. Mooney Blvd. is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

JoJo’s Grill-A-Dog

JoJo's Grill-A-Dog offers hungry customers 100% all beef dogs with no added nitrates, as well as hand-shaped, freshly baked buns, locally grown vegetables for garnishes, and home-baked potato chips.

Located off West Walnut Avenue and Akers Street, the restaurant offers what they call their “signature mojo sauce,” freshly blended daily using local ingredients, with no added preservatives.

If you’re not in the mood for a hot dog, JoJo’s offers Hawaiian-style shaved ice. The syrup is made from real pure fruit cane sugar.

JoJo’s Grill-A-Dog, at 5101 W. Walnut Ave. Suite B, is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Sunday to Wednesday and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Thursday to Saturday. The store offers online ordering and pickup, as well as on-site dining.

Butter + Milk Biscuit Bar

Butter + Milk Biscuit Bar, a new family restaurant in town, offers its customers homemade cookies, sandwiches, burritos, tacos, coffee and more.  Located off Noble Avenue and South County Center Drive, Butter + Milk Biscuit Bar is Beachin' Biscuits' sister location in Pismo Beach.

Butter + Milk Biscuit Bar is a family restaurant and is the perfect early morning stop. The restaurant offers its customers homemade cookies, sandwiches, burritos, tacos, coffee and more.

A sister location to Beachin’ Biscuits in Pismo Beach, the restaurant specializes in Southern-style cookies, daily fresh gravy, and breakfast burritos. They also offer vanilla, caramel, lavender, hazelnut, salted caramel, and seasonal flavored coffee.

Butter + Milk Biscuit Bar, located at 3129 W. Noble Ave., is open daily from 6 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and offers dine-in and take-out.
