The Best Death By Chocolate Cake Recipe Ever Might Be The Best Cake You’ll Ever Make | Cakes/Cupcakes

This is literally the best chocolate cake recipe that I have ever done. Already. It’s the perfect dessert to make for special occasions, or any old Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday… you get the idea.

There’s nothing quite like a homemade “death by chocolate” cake, especially this one. Literally nothing. Cut off a big slice and pour yourself a cup of coffee, tea or milk. Life is too short not to enjoy this extreme chocolate cake.

Cooking time: 30 to 35 minutes
Total duration: 40 to 45 minutes



Here’s how to do it:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 9 inch cake molds.
  2. In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients for the cake. Add the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla and mix for 3 minutes with an electric mixer. Gently stir in boiling water. Pour evenly into prepared pans.
  3. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. After 10 minutes, remove from pans to cool completely.
  4. Cream the butter until fluffy. Alternately add the rest of the icing ingredients. Beat until smooth.
  5. Divide the cake layers horizontally. Stack the layers on a serving platter, covering each layer with frosting. Glaze the outside. Enjoy!
