Southern Indiana Insomnia Cookies Grand Opening July 2022

Evansville is now home to another very popular cookie franchise. Crumbl Cookies opened about a year ago on the east side of Evansville, and they always have lines at the door. Insomnia Cookies in downtown Evansville will likely remain just as busy, especially with late night delivery.

Do we need more cookie options?

As a self-proclaimed cookie connoisseur, I’d say there could never be too many places to get cookies. According to the Insomnia Cookies menu, they will be offering gluten-free chocolate chip cookies, and that’s pretty exciting for our friends with celiac disease. There are also several vegan options.

Brilliant student cookie delivery idea

The Insomnia Cookies concept was created in 2003 by then-student Seth Berkowitz in his dorm at the University of Pennsylvania. The idea was born out of a dislike of the heavy meals offered by local late-night food options and a love for the convenience of delivery. To provide the midnight snack he knew students craved, Berkowitz began baking and delivering hot cookies to campus, and so the future of Insomnia Cookies was set in motion.
