More than 30 Democratic sausage crackers, cake stalls and markets to attend this Election Day

posted on

It always seems that some of Canberra’s most enjoyable community events take place on Election Day.

And why not? Polling stations are often located in schools and community centers and there are a lot of people who must legally be there!

It’s the perfect opportunity to host a sausage sizzle, a cake stand or a fundraising market – or all three – and that’s exactly what these schools and organizations are doing this Saturday, May 21.

Sorted by division, here are more than 30 non-political events to attend on Election Day. Unless otherwise stated, all sausage sizzles and cake stands are school or charity fundraisers.

May the sausage of democracy be with you!
