This easy chocolate frosted brownie recipe is ooey, gooey, and topped with creamy chocolate frosting. So good! Serve for a snack or dessert when you need a chocolate fix – or just want to reminisce.


Preparation time: 10 minutes plus time to cool
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Total time: 35 minutes plus cooling time
Servings: Makes about 15-20 brownies

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Combine melted butter and cocoa powder in a bowl. Beat with electric mixer until smooth. Add granulated sugar, flour, eggs and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
  2. Pour the batter into a 13 x 9 inch baking pan lined with parchment paper. Bake in preheated 350 degree F oven for about 25 minutes or until brownies are set. Remove to cool.
  3. To make the icing, combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and spreadable. Spread frosting over warm (not hot!) brownies. Refrigerate until chilled, then cut into squares.
