Gordon’s launches pink cherry gin and you can make chocolate brownies with it

In time for the upcoming May double bank holiday at the end of the month, Gordon’s has launched two new gins to help you celebrate. The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is the perfect time to entertain friends and family, whether for a cocktail in the garden or a BBQ weather permitting.

To impress your guests, you could make boozy brownies. They are guaranteed to put a smile on their faces. Gooey, sticky and utterly moreish, they’re surprisingly quick and easy to make.

Instagram foodie @cakeontherun shared her delicious recipe using Gordon’s Morello Cherry gin. It is one of two new flavors the brand has launched, the other being Tropical Passionfruit.

The pink option blends Gordon’s classic London Dry gin with the taste of juicy cherries for a sweet yet tart flavor experience. And it goes wonderfully with chocolate.

Gordon’s Morello Cherry Distilled Gin (70cl) and Gordon’s Tropical Passionfruit Distilled Gin (70cl) cost £17 each and are available from Sainsbury’s.



Choose from Tropical Passion Fruit and Sour Cherry Gin

Drizzled brownie recipe (for 8 pieces)

Ingredients

  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 100g of sugar
  • 40g of butter
  • 50g plain flour
  • 15g cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 50ml Gordon’s Morello Cherry gin

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 180C/gas 4/350F.
  2. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a bowl over a saucepan of boiling water.
  3. Put all the ingredients, including the melted chocolate, in a large bowl and mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into a lined baking dish (any size) and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Let cool in pan before slicing.
