I grew up following the instructions for homemade cookies in the back of the bag of Nestlé Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips. Even though I slightly burned the cookies, they still topped the charts. However, when my friend Clay shared her homemade chocolate chip cookie recipe, I threw Nestlé to the wind and never looked back.

These cookies are perfect. The texture: crispy on the outside and melting on the inside. The taste: the perfect combination of salty and sweet. The ingredients in the Nestlé recipe stay the same for the most part, but it’s the order in which you combine them that’s the secret to the best cookies you’ll ever have. Have a glass of milk and enjoy!
