Bake a batch of boo-licious brownies
If you need a quick and spooky treat, but don’t have a lot of time or feel like you’re lacking the creativity to “do your best”, here’s a Brownie Recipe in a Seven Ingredient Bowl. which is not too difficult to prepare.
These boo-licious brownies are sure to double down on those passing by the dessert table.
⢠1/2 cup (1 stick) salted melted butter *
⢠1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
⢠1 cup of sugar
⢠2 large eggs
⢠1 teaspoon of vanilla
⢠1/2 cup of flour
⢠Small candy eyeballs
* If using unsalted butter, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt
⢠Preheat the oven to 350 ° F. Grease an 8 à 8 square pan or line with foil and set aside.
⢠In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, cocoa and sugar. Stir until completely dissolved.
⢠Add the eggs one at a time, then the vanilla, and stir until combined.
⢠Stir in the flour (and salt, if necessary) until the flour is completely combined. Be careful not to over mix.
⢠Optional: add 1 cup of nuts, chocolate chips or whatever you like. (Don’t add candy eyeballs yet.)
⢠Spread in pan and bake for about 20 to 22 minutes or until center is lightly set. Be careful not to overcook.
Now here’s the fun part: Right after taking out of the oven, before they cool down, place candy eyeballs on top of the brownies. Apply light pressure just enough to make sure they don’t roll.
⢠Cool completely, then cut into nine large squares or 16 small squares.
Holiday Tip: Keep candy eyeballs handy (so to speak) so you can turn any dessert into a holiday hit. Besides brownies, these eyeballs can be added to cakes, cupcakes, cookies, or any other sweet treat. A little frosting makes a great glue. Do not add eyeballs before cooking.
